Why Colleen Sherman Started Assisted Living Advisors of Colorado
Colleen Sherman’s journey into the senior care industry began in 2015, during one of the most difficult seasons of her life. Following a painful divorce, she found herself beginning a new chapter both personally and professionally. What initially started as a career change quickly became a true calling.
In 2017, Colleen began working in senior placement with a large national franchise. While she gained valuable experience, she also realized that the focus was often on numbers rather than people. She knew families deserved more than a transaction—they needed someone who would truly listen, understand their concerns, and stand beside them through one of the most emotional decisions they may ever make.
In 2020, Colleen founded Assisted Living Advisors of Colorado with a simple mission: to put people first.
She wanted the freedom to spend as much time as each family needed, providing compassionate, personalized guidance without pressure or quotas. Every senior and every family has a unique story, and Colleen believes they deserve personalized support every step of the way.
